LECTURES AND CONFERENCES
SCBS sponsors a variety of ongoing
and occasional programs designed to enrich and enlarge the flow
of scholarly information to and from Stanford, by bringing scholars
of Buddhism and other Asian religions to the campus and providing
vehicles for the dissemination of their research to their colleagues

Buddhist Studies Colloquium.
An annual lecture series
on selected topics, offered in conjunction with an advanced seminar
in Buddhist studies through the Department of Religious Studies.
Buddhist Studies Conference. A program providing
funding and administrative support for major academic conferences
on Buddhism held at Stanford.
Buddhist Studies Seminar. A program bringing scholars for week-long
advanced seminars in Buddhist studies.
Buddhist Studies Workshop.
A program bringing small
groups of scholars together at Stanford for discussion of selected
topics in the field.
Continuing Studies seminars. In collaboration with Stanford Continuing Studies, a program that offers seminars to the public on topics of interest in Buddhism.
Distinguished Buddhist Studies Lecture Series. Annual lecture series bringing leading scholars of Buddhist Studies to present pubic lectures .
Distinguished Practitioner Lecture Series/Events. Annual lecture series bringing eminent practitioners for pubic lectures or special events.

and events on Buddhism, administered by SCBS for the Buddhist
Community at Stanford and the Office for Religious Life.
