Research Opportunities
at SCBS
Visiting fellows program.
Each year SCBS appoints a limited
number of visiting research fellows working in the fields of
Buddhism and other Asian religions. Affiliation with the center
is also available to scholars visiting other units of Stanford.
While the center does not have funds to provide stipends, it
can provide support in the form of library privileges at Stanford
and Berkeley, office and computer facilities, graduate assistants,
staff support, and incidental research expenses. (For other Stanford
funding sources, see below.) SCBS
fellows are welcome to participate in all the programs of the
center and are encouraged to offer reading groups on their materials
and present their work in an annual SCBS fellows colloquium.
Inquiries should be directed to Stanford Center of Buddhist Studies,
Building 70, Room 71E, Main Quad, Stanford University, Stanford,
CA 94305. Phone: 650-736-1301. E-mail: ihl@stanford.edu.
